Local Rules
On the Golf Course
All etiquette requirements as described in Section 1 of the USGA Rules of Golf Booklet must be followed.
The pace of play standard for Maynard Country Club is that a foursome should complete nine holes in two hours or less, and 18 holes in four hours or less. You must keep pace with the group in front of you. Please allow faster groups to play though.
Keep in mind the following tips to assist your pace of play:
- Always be ready when it's your turn to play
- When approaching greens, place your golf bag on the side nearest the next tee
- Do not pull any hand carts directly across greens or tees to save time. We want to preserve our tees and greens.
- Only brief stops between nines are permitted
- Players on the first tee must alternate with players coming off of the ninth green
- Always follow the instructions of the pro shop or course marshal
No individual coolers are permitted on the golf course. All alcoholic beverages must be purchased at the MCC clubhouse
Dress Code
The club dress code applies to everyone, including juniors. Blue jeans and athletic shorts are not allowed. Shorts must be tailored walking shorts. No T-shirts or tank tops are allowed and shirts must have collars.
The Maynard Country Club is a soft spike facility. The pro shop staff shall reserve the right to have final decisions in applying all dress code rules.
Golf Carts
You must be at least 16 years old with a valid driver's license to rent or drive a golf cart. You must keep all carts off aprons and greens and follow any cart rules specified by the golf staff.
